A few weeks ago we wrote down a list of all the things we wanted to do this semester, one of them being hiking up to the hot springs in american fork. So on MLK Jr day we went. Turns out what we thought was going to be just a short two or three hour endeavor ended up being 17 miles of trudging through the snow with wet clothes and frozen toes. The springs were pretty cool but they smelled nast and made me feel slimy and weird. Best part, even though it was actually miserable, was singing every child prayer in the otherwise silent darkness while stumbling over unknown depths of snow and clinging to each other to stay warm. I wanted to sing the EFY medley next but there was some disagreement as to who would sing the boy part etc so it never happened. You know I love me a good harmony. Also, thank you mom for teaching me to be more prepared than is ever usually necessary...because sometimes it actually is necessary. Like suchas this case. I had enough cashews and powerbars to keep all of us alive for days.
